New Beginning: A Cyberspace Blog

Hello, my cyber pookies! For the past few months, your cybergirlie has been racking her brain out trying to find the perfect blog to kickstart this journey. And to create something that will capture my essence and also guide you - through the intangible space of the cyber world.

After countless backspaces and re-edits, I finally found my spark – honesty. While I might crack a lame joke or two! I've decided to be upfront about my process and the content I'll be sharing here.

Initially, I thought I could simply spew out a bunch of definitions and jargon. But that is not how I learned in law school! My approach to understanding any topic has always been to delve into its origins – the what, why, whom, when, and how. However, even with my thirst for knowledge, I couldn't focus solely on dry facts.

So, during my cybersecurity diploma, when I genuinely got fascinated by the concept of cyberspace. I realized I want to do this right.

Today, when the internet has become an integral part of our lives, understanding cybersecurity is more important than ever. Think of Cyberspacegirlie as your guide, it will take you on a journey through the evolution of cybersecurity! From its earliest origins to the complexities of the modern world. 

We will begin with the history of inventions and technologies such as telegraphy; the groundwork laid for the modern communication systems. From the first telegraph messages to this age of the internet. We will explore how these technological advancements shape the landscape of cybersecurity.

In the Next blog, we will get into the groundbreaking work of William Gibson, whose novel "Neuromancer" introduced the term "cyberspace" to the world. This concept, once a futuristic vision, has become an innate part of our daily lives.
